Panthers Judo Club was formed in May 2000 by Andy and Lisa Burke.
However the club history actually goes back to Kingsland Judo Club
which was started by Lisa in 1994 on Friday afternoons straight after close of the school.
Not long after the club had started Lisa affiliated it to the
Amateur Judo Association of Great Britain (AJA).
In 1997 Andy joined the club.
In 1998 the club moved to a Monday night session.
After the summer break of 1999 the club expanded to two nights a week.
During the Spring of 2000 Andy and Lisa decided to move the club to a
new location, which is now Pheasey Park Farm School.
This required that the club to be renamed, thus Panthers Judo Club
was created.
